ช่วงนี้ นร.จำนวนมาก กำลังเร่งส่งเอกสารสมัครเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยกันใหญ่ และทุกๆ คนคงตระหนักกันดีอยู่แล้วว่า องค์ประกอบสำคัญของการสมัครนั้น คือ Statement of Purpose หรือ ที่เรียกกันสั้นๆ ว่า SOP นั่นแหละค่ะ ทำให้ นร.จำนวนมากเช่นกัน วิ่งมาให้ครูแนะนำ รวมทั้งปรับแก้ SOP กันอย่างขวักไขว่ ครูจึงคิดว่า ไหนๆ ก็ไหนๆ แล้ว เอาตัวอย่าง SOP ที่ดี มาให้ดูกันเลยดีกว่า นร.คนนี้ จะไปเรียนต่อที่อังกฤษ ในสาขา Automotive Engineering ค่ะ

Currently, I am a final year student at __________ University. My course of study, Manufacturing Engineering and Management, has provided me a large amount of knowledge mainly in the field of engineering management and partly of business skills, one of which focuses on automotive business. I would love to further my education not directly in the previous field, yet a related one, the Msc in Automotive Engineering. Below, the reasons and motivations will be explicitly illustrated.

I have long been interested in the automotive-related fields, not only in the appearances of vehicles, but also in the mechanical, suspension as well as other electronic systems. Consequently, I always took an internship at many garage service stations whenever I went back to Thailand for long vacation. One of the most memorable experiences was when I was a trainee at the station which rendered services in Thailand Rally Championship, the competition approved by FIA. Although the duration was only for three months, I gained a much larger amount of knowledge and experience. Additionally, I believe that the automotive industry will become one of the decisive factors to help enhance the country’s business in the future. To make the automotive industry attain a worldly leading rank is at present one of the government’s business objectives. Recently, the achievement has proved to be within reach since the Motor Show held in Thailand has been ranked as one of the best ten approved by OICA, the organisation responsible for the Motor Show exhibitions all over the world.

Last but not least, although my focus of interest in the Bachelor’s Degree was not directly the Automotive Engineering, I believe that my perspective and knowledge long gained from other sources as well as my personal interest are adequate as a fundamental basis for me to further my education in the mentioned field.

With regard to my future academic pursuit, I wish to work towards Msc in Automotive Engineering at the University of Bath, where the fame in such field is highly recognised on the international level. I believe that it will give me the opportunity to rapidly enhance not only skills, but also the mindset needed to achieve my career goals. As a result, I am certain that the Msc in Automotive Engineering at University of Bath will definitely bring about the utmost accomplishments of my career destination.
